chicken noodle salad. Cut up cold chicken, egg noodles, any frsh veggies out of the garden, oil & vinegar.
It’s not really a dish but I love watermelon. I could eat it breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Anything with ripe heirloom tomatoes. I love to make something called a Bloody Mary consomme–awesome ripe tomatoes, pureed with a tiny bit of horseradish, a dash of vodka, a handful of basil, garlic, salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon. Then just push it through a strainer or cheesecloth a few times, or simply pour it all into a bowl lined with cheesecloth, gather up the cheesecloth and tie it, and hang it from the fridge rack over the bowl, letting it strain slowly overnight. It’s like liquid summer.
