Why do you shop at the co-op?
Why do you shop at the co-op?
Because that’s where all my favorite food is! Plus the employees are knowledgeable about all of the food and environment related concerns that I have.
Because that’s where real food hangs out for the 9 months of the year between farmers markets and gardens.
What’s not to love about shopping at a co-op? Great food. Support for local products. No one’s trying to coerce me to buy something (why would you when I’m a co+owner?). So glad to have a great co-op where I can shop for (almost) everything!
I live in upstate NY and belong to a co-op 1 1/2 hours away in Williamstown, MA. I make a weekly trip there just because I adore the area/atmosphere where the store is as well as all the delicious foods they make and their awesome (albeit tiny) produce section.
Because I just about live here. What we don’t have, I can usually live without.
It is the only place I can find everything I am looking for. Besides, I own it!
Local economy, baby! Money stays in the community and doesn’t get shipped off to Wall Street or elsewhere! Plus, in our case Popcorn Tofu @Wheatsville!
Co-ops Rock! Mine has everything I need and it’s always the freshest available.
The co-op has everything that I want, plus a sense of community. I trust that the co-op looks out for my best interests.
They let me bring my chihuahua!
Access to the same awesome produce and meats I buy at the farmers’ market, 7 days a week, with a knowledgeable, friendly staff and awesome prepared foods to boot!
For good food and good friends.
My coops are just the right size! I love how the community is reflected by the people working and shopping at the coops!
I like buying from local suppliers.
I like to eat, and I like to support local – and at the co-op, I can do both!
I can ride my bike there.
The bulk section.

Peaches! They have the juiciest local peaches of anyone in town.
