  I’m with Ellen. I make a BIG pot of soup every week and it serves as dinner two nights, and a couple lunches. At least. Never cream-based; almost always veggie. Easy to vary with different “sides.”

  horrors! but if I had to, beets, carrots, greens, tomatoes, and squashes. there – do I cover quite a few bases there? would include garlic but I’m not counting it as a veggie. would really miss corn, peppers, cabbage, and squashes….

  once a year I eat meat, but what I look forward to most is the great stuffing – made with lots of fruit, garlic and bread crumbs. always the first thing to be totally consumed. and the wonderful cranberry sauce. never liked the canned, oversweet kinds but this made fresh with cranberries and oranges is [...]

  Cypress Grove – their chevres and other cheeses (Humboldt Fog, Midnight Moon, Lamb Chopper). Lucky that they’re local to me!
